Oceanworks Berkeley has been my mechanic since my brother-in-law's shop closed when he passed away many years ago now. The shop is around the corner from Laurie's former shop. At first, I wondered if I would receive the same treatment as a family member did at the former shop. I am happy to say that Chris treats me like family, as he did my mother when I recommended she take her car there. However, we are not the only ones. Today, Chris was making fishing plans for his day off with a customer, and he always makes sure to squeeze me in if it is an emergency. Today, I met the technician John. He was very helpful and kind. I drive an older, much older, car, and I take it in once a year for a maintenance and check up for safety. Today, my brakes were assessed as I heard a chirping sound, the car was completely checked out, the brakes were sanded and lubed, the oil was changed, and the tires were rotated for under $200. I highly recommend this business. Thank you for keeping me safe and being there for me when I need help.

Oceanworks is the best auto mechanic shop I’ve ever had the pleasure to have my vehicle diagnosed and fixed at. It’s very difficult to find a great shop to trust that will fix your vehicle problems for a great price. The manager and mechanics are awesome!

Chris and team communicated well, charged very fairly and called me before any big changes were made. They bought a specialty part and turns out they didn't need it, I didn't get charged, very cool!

I needed a quick fix so I could get a smog on the NV. They fit me in to their busy schedule and I got it smoged.

They answered the phone in person, checked out my car in less than an hour, and gave me good options. By morning it was fixed (would have been sooner but had to wait for part) and the results are great, I have more that needs to be fixed but they allowed me to choose the repairs instead of fixing without asking then charging. For the quickness, straightforward info, friendliness, and one year guarantee, I will def be back. Thank you Chris!

I am recently widowed and I am a women with no knowledge of cars. Oceanworks was recommended to me so I tried them. First of all I didn't wait in any line, I had an appointment and went right into the office. In a few min. I was on my way with a good feeling.
